الشاهد الغائب (2024) نص تجريبي يحاول استكشاف طبيعة الليل المكانية في منأى عن ارتباطاته الثقافية والمجتمعية. يأتي هذا الاستكشاف في مضمونه التجربة البشرية التذكرية، حيث الليل الزمان تجربة لا ترتبط بالخبرة، إلا أن الليل المكان تجربة اختبارية للحضور. حضر هذا النص كجزء من المعرض الثاني في المتحف السعودي للفن المعاصر في الدرعية، بعنوان “في الليل” (2024)
Commissioned Piece
As a commissioned writer, I developed The Absent Witness (2024) for the second exhibition at the Saudi Museum of Contemporary Art in JAX, In the Night. The text emerged from thinking with the night as a spatial and emotional condition, its distances, its silences, and the way it tests presence. Rather than treating the night as metaphor, the piece approaches it as a lived terrain: a site where memory, perception, and the body negotiate what is seen and what slips into shadow.
The work moves between poetry and reflection, tracing how nocturnal spaces open up forms of attention that resist fixed meaning. The Absent Witness steps into that threshold, where language becomes porous, where the night unsettles, reveals, and sometimes refuses to be held.
